2X PC 2100 = 4,2 GB/s

1X 3600 = 3,6GB/s

Prieks intel 1. variants viskabakais!

Rams Kingstons PC3200 2x512

kas paa pa duaalo hrenaaciju :))

Itkaa manuaali pa MB nekas taadc nekaa iipahsi nav piemineets..

Es te spec nepaslinkoju.. iestuumu otru ramu.. a tip njefiga nemainijaas. Kaste kaa gaaja taa arii iet :)

-- HOW DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY WORKS--

Lately there seems to be a lot of confusion about how exactly Dual Channel DDR memory works. Unfortunately do to some good marketing by Tier 1 computer manufacturers, the actual definition of Dual Channel DDR has been blurred a bit. In this article I will explain how Dual Channel DDR actually works and what your benefits are for using it.

For some reason there is a misconception that Dual Channel DDR is a function of the actual RAM chip itself, I would like to clear this up first by saying that Dual Channel DDR is a function of the Motherboard chipset, not the RAM stick. The main reason that most computer manufacturers use DDR 400 for system configuration is to eliminate a bottleneck between the memory and processor. As some of you may have noticed more and more, Tier 1 manufacturers are offering Dual Channel DDR running PC2700 memory, this is a cost cutting measure. The memory will run in a Dual Channel configuration

but will only transfer data at a rate of 666 Mhz (333 Mhz X 2 Channels), the problem with this is that new processors have a 800 Mhz front side bus, so you are creating a bottleneck by not allowing the processor to receive information as fast as it needs to run at optimal performance. The diagram below shows how Dual Channel DDR interfaces with the processor.

"FOR THE 2 GRAPHICAL CONFIGURATIONS OF 'SINGLE AND DUAL", Go to:

http://www.gcscanada.com/company/Newslette...ume3_Issue1.pdf

As you can see in a Dual Channel configuration there is 2 physical connections between the memory and memory controller. If you use DDR 400 memory then your transfer rate is equal to 800 Mhz. (400Mhz X 2), which matches the front side bus of the processor therefore eliminating the bottleneck. As long as you are using a motherboard, which supports Dual Channel DDR, (having the correct Chipsets)..., you can run any speed of DDR memory that you wish and call it a Dual Channel configuration, but if you do not use 400 Mhz memory you are dragging down the performance of your machine.

If you disagree w/any part of this..., the phone numbers of the Manufacturer are at the top of this post, (i.e. "G.C. SYSTEMS")

IMAGin

Spriezhot peec Dioxodus ieposteetaa sanaak ka AMD prochiem taads DualChannel neko nedos, tb pietiek ar vienkanaala DDR ramu ar ekvivalentu vai augstaaku frekvenci kaa CPU Front Side Bus...

Tad nu man rodas jautaajums... Sanaak ka videejaas paaudzes P4 ar 533Mhz FrontSide Bus frekvenci - lietojot 533Mhz DDR ramu buus ekvivalenti aatrs kaa ar Dual Chanell ramu? Jeb tomeer tur paraadaas kaads aatrdarbiibas uzlabojums? Un veel kaa ir ar RIMM rama moduljiem? Tie tachu ir pieejami arii ar 1066Mhz... tad kur ir jeega? icon_rolleyes.gif
