At the very least you can upgrade to Core Duo T2450, which is based on the same Yonah core, and runs at the same FSB as the T2050. It's likely that you can upgrade to faster Core Duo microprocessor with 667 MHz FSB. To confirm this you will need to use programs like CPU-Z or Intel Chipset Identification Utility to determine type of motherboard chipset in your laptop, and then check whether this chipset supports 667 MHz FSB frequency or not. If your chipset supports 667 Mhz FSB then, as a minimum, you can upgrade to Core Duo T2600 or T2700. But that's not all. There is still a chance that your laptop will support even faster Core 2 Duo processors. Again, search on the net for CPU support list for your motherboard chipset and see if it supports Core 2 Duo, or Merom, CPUs. If it supports them then the fastest Core 2 Duo for your notebook will be Core 2 Duo T7600. Depending on the type of applications you're running on your notebook, you can expect from the T7600 microprocessor performance gain in the range 40% - 100%.
